Trowbridge Museum

Housed in an old industrial factory, on the edge of the shopping centre, spread over two floors. We were tasked with making the designers vision come to life and making the artifact shine on display. The cabinetry was manufactured with large display cases, lit to highlight the wonderful case contents, a mixture of natural timber and spray finished cases and plinths were built to give variety but continuity throughout.

Large plinths with fire engines and horse drawn buggies to small drawers displaying tiny buttons and needles were created to make the most of every artifact Interactive elements were introduced, a number of weaving opportunities to try, print your own newspaper, sift wool and a crawl through cage to give the more agile a taste of working under a loom.

The museum was opened successfully, on time and budget, despite something called Covid 19!

  • “The quality of their work is impeccable and they often seemed to know exactly what we might need for a particular element before we did!”
