Enfinium Parc Adfer

Visitor Centre

Green Power Centre.

This visitor centre is located in an active green power plant and has been filled with scale models and interactives of the machinery being used at that very location. including a scale model of the building and a miniature landscape showing its impact on a small town.

Recycling and power conversion educational hub.

Beaufort Bespoke has just completed a £710,000 visitor centre for Wheelabrator at their new facility at, Parc Adfer in Deeside.

We were commissioned to design, manufacture and install the entire project. This involved us meeting with teams of experts from the recycling industry. One of our main goals was to educate children from the ages of 5 to 16 in all aspects of recycling. We devised an interactive ‘game’ which had numerous tiles with images of everyday objects on them when the tiles were placed on a reader this brought into play a touchscreen with questions on the correct recycling hierarchy. The child chose an answer and the screen told them if they were correct or to have another try.

To further enhance this we created a model village, which has reuse, recycling facilities when they choose the correct answer the facility lights up. We had two levels of questions in both English and Welsh; 5-11-yearolds and 12 and above. We felt this made it more involving for everyone. Amongst many of the interactives, there is a grab interactive similar to the proposal for your facility.

  • “Wheelabrator Technologies is extremely satisfied with Beaufort’s performance and would not hesitate to recommend their services.”
