Shining a light on this 260 year old lighthouse.

In Cornwall's most southerly island lighthouse inside the old engine room lies an interactive learning centre fitted by Beaufort Bespoke.

Guiding you safely through the history.

This project was designed by Smith and Jones Design Consultants based in Bristol.

Beaufort Bespoke were chosen as the principle exhibition build contractor for the Heritage Centre in the Lizard Lighthouse, the UK’s most Southerly We worked to a detailed set of working drawings mainland tourist attraction ensured the whole installation was delivered in a supplied by Trinity House, our own project manager We were responsible for manufacturing and professional manner and to an extremely high standard. interactive as it’s also a learning centre for schools installing various types of displays most of them and colleges.

Some of the elements involved were: The main reception area with ticketing desk, all retail displays, seating, and food service are, a dramatic entrance tunnel with sound and AV, a 18m long graphic timeline wall with 3d plaques, interactive archive and display cubes, archive and display cubes featured a number of pull out drawers with graphics, object display cases and educational interactives.

Everything was manufactured to not only be durable but also to an extremely high quality, ensuring That the centre will give many years service in this permanent Heritage Centre. Even though this was completed some 7 years ago it still looks great today.
