Jonithan trained as a traditional cabinet maker over 20 years ago and, initially, Beaufort Bespoke focused on the super high end custom kitchens for country houses and estates across the South West of England. These 'big budget' kitchens have to be manufactured to extremely high standards and each one is created with love and care by hands-on craftsmen.
New premises were found which enabled the Company to expand and at this time Beaufort Bespoke became involved with museum and heritage projects. A relationship with Bristol City Museum developed and working closely with the in-house design team, Beaufort Bespoke starting manufacturing and installing temporary exhibition displays at the Museum. Word spread though Bristol of their exceptional skills and more projects came Beaufort Bespoke’s way.
Trinity House, responsible for the provision and maintenance of lighthouses around the country, asked Beaufort Bespoke to tender for, and awarded the Company, the fit-out contract for the Lizard Lighthouse Heritage Centre in Cornwall. It was with considerable pride that we worked on this project enabling the skills, dedication and abilities of our craftsmen and project managers to shine. Representatives of Beaufort Bespoke attended the official opening in 2009 by HRH The Princess Royal.
Since then, Beaufort Bespoke has expanded by adding to its competent team and it is now able to take on larger, more complex projects. This includes projects for the complete fit out of the Pre-history Gallery at the Wiltshire Heritage Museum and, more recently, design and retail fit outs for Chester Zoo and WWT Slimbridge.
Today, with the energy and vision of Bryan, the craftsmanship and enthusiasm of Jonithan, and the experience and passion of their experienced in-house team, it means that Beaufort Bespoke can turn its hand to any complex or unusual project with skill and common sense.
